Initial Firing Procedure
(Searing Station (if equipped) is installed by the manufacturer. DO NOT remove.)
1.
Open the pellet hopper lid and
remove any
objects in the hopper.
2.
Plug the grill into a three
-prong,
grounded
power source.
3.
Press the power button to
"ON".
4.
Open the hopper lid and check to see that the auger is turning freely -approximately 2 rpm.
DO NOT
TOUCH THE AUGER.
5.
Place your fingers over the burnpot and feel the air movement from the
combustion blower.
Ignitor will
glow within 1 minute.
DO NOT TOUCH THE
IGNITOR
6.
Press the Power Button to
"OFF".
7.
Before replacing the removed components,
c
lean all
the
items with soap and
water, then rinse and
allow
to dry. Re-install components.
PREPARING TO USE YOUR GRILL
Important:
You must season the grill before cooking any food on your grill for the first time. The unit must be
operated at maximum temperature for 1 hour with the lid closed. This allows any oil residue from the manufacturing
process to burn off and also allows the high temperature paint to cure.
Avoid placing any items on the unit during this period as the paint could be permanently damaged.
