8.0 Energy Management
Approximately 5 minutes after last key operation, the instrument switches off automatical-
ly (auto-power-off). To switch the instrument on again, turn rotary switch from the „OFF"
position to the desired function.
If the batteries are almost completely discharged, the battery symbol (3) appears. The
instrument continues functioning without necessarily respecting the specifications.
If the batteries continue to be used and discharged, the instrument switches off at a point
when the minimum battery voltage level is reached and may not be switched on again.
9.0 Appropriate
Usage
The instrument may only be used under those conditions and for those purposes for
which it was conceived. For this reason particular attention must be paid to the safety
references in chapter 3, the technical data including environmental conditions in chapter
13 and the usage in dry environments.
When modifying or changing the instrument, the operational safety can no longer
be guaranteed.
The instrument may only be opened by an authorised service technician, e.g. for fuse
replacement.
