The Power screen appears.
2. The Battery tab displays the Main and
Backup battery status.
For example, both batteries are in “good”
condition according to the screenshot on the
right.
NOTE:
Charge the battery when it reaches
below 10 percent. If the battery does
not accept a charge, contact Unitech
Technical Support.
Extending Battery Life
Extend the PA600’s battery life through the following:
•
Change the automatic power settings.
•
Minimize backlight use.
Changing the Automatic Power Settings
The PA600 enters idle mode when there is no task, or all tasks are waiting for input. In
the default setting, the PA600 automatically turns off when it remains idle for three
minutes without an external power source. Pressing the power button returns the
PA600 to the same point at the time of automatic shutdown.
Change the automatic power settings through the following:
1. In the Power screen, tap the
Advanced
tab.
2. Select a time period from the drop down
menu. The available time periods are 1, 2,
3, 4 and 5 minutes.
3. This function can also activate when the
PA600 plugs into the AC Adapter or placed
in its Docking Station. Select
On external
power
, and choose a time period from the
drop down menu. The available time periods
are 1, 2, 5, 10, 15 and 30 minutes.
