1.
Remove the coin hopper from the unit.
2.
Remove all coins from the hopper.
3.
Use a damp rag to clean any metal dust that may have accumulated on the exit ramp.
4.
Remove the two side screws that hold the bottom support bracket and pull the main
hopper cube from the hopper assembly.
5.
Use a Q-Tip or Iso-swab to clean the coin exit slot.
6.
Remove the top part of the hopper by sliding the red lever on the side of the hopper
downward. Slide the top part of the hopper upward to remove it.
7.
Remove the hopper wheel and clean it with a damp rag.
8.
Clean the inside of the hopper with a damp rag.
9.
Reverse these steps to replace the hopper.

Security Devices
The Portal TI includes a built-in alarm that is triggered by a shock sensor mounted on the door. The
following sections provide operations, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures for these
components.
10.3.1
Setting the Alarm
To set the alarm, close the door and then lock the unit. If it has been properly set, it will chirp once. If not,
it will cycle 3 times and chirp the number of times corresponding to the input that is not at the
appropriate level.

If the door is opened without the alarm being disarmed, the alarm will sound for 30 minutes
If the shock sensor is shocked 3 times within a 30 second window, it will sound the alarm for 30 seconds.
