Thermostat
The freezer cooling temperature is controlled by a combination thermostat that can be
adjusted by turning knob “
E”
to different settings to maintain the desired freezer
temperature when operating on either gas or 110V. Knob “
D
” also incorporates a safety
device which automatically shuts off the supply of gas if the flame goes out. The electric
igniter “
B
” discharges sparks onto the burner when the button is pushed.
See Figure #1

“MAX” Setting of the Thermostat:
In gas operation, the thermostat allows the
burner to remain on high flame continuously (turn clockwise fully). In 110V operation
the element will stay on until the desired temperature is reached, then cycle off. When the
interior of the freezer warms up, the element will cycle back on.
2. The thermostat can be adjusted between “1” and “4” to obtain the desired freezer
temperature. When the thermostat reaches the set temperature, it will reduce the burner
back to bypass operation or shut the element off in 110V operation.
3. The freezer will stay on minimum when setting 1 is selected or when the thermostat
knob is turned fully counter clockwise. This setting can be used if you’re looking to use
the freezer as a refrigerator. Be aware that if the ambient temperature surrounding the
