5.9 OPERATING SAGEVIEW
This section is intended to familiarize the new Sageview user with the main screen and to suggest a series
of initial steps to ensure that necessary settings are entered and saved.
Comprehensive Help is provided. First read Section 5.9.1, Main Screen, in this manual to become
familiar with the information areas. Then click
Help
in the Sageview menu bar and read the provided
operating information.
IMPORTANT:
To display the main screen, as shown in Figure 5-2:
•
Install all needed cabling, network devices, and Sageview software.
•
Complete the needed initial settings. See Section 5.9.2, Initial Settings.
If the initial settings are not completed or completed incorrectly:
•
An error message similar to that shown below may appear.
•
“Disconnected” on a red background may appear at the lower left corner of the screen. If this is an
initial installation, the last connected portion of the message may not appear.
•
The main screen may be incomplete and unpopulated with data.
