Loading Media
•
If using tray 1, open the paper tray and load media with the print side face up
•
Ensure the media locks in underneath the guides before closing the cassette.
•
Ensure the paper stack does not exceed the upper limit mark inside the paper tray.
Excess stacking can cause paper jams.
•
Be sure to load more than a few sheets in this tray, or multiple sheet feeding may occur.
•
Straighten curled or warped media before loading.
•
Various sizes of media can be loaded – simply adjust the positions of the side fences and end fence to
match. Once loaded, carefully push the paper tray fully in.
•
If using the bypass tray (suggested for transfer media), load the media face down until you hear a beep and
align the media guides to match the media size.
