Making calls using project assignment (cost
billing)
Calls made to external partners can be assigned to specific projects.
Prerequisite:
Project numbers (from 1 to 5) have been configured for certain
projects, and you have an account code (ACCT) for the project.

Enter a service code between 61 (for project number 1) and 65 (for project num-
ber 5).

Using a different telephone in the same way
as your own
You can log on to another telephone belonging to the HiPath 4000 system via a
personal identification number or PIN (this includes telephones of networked
HiPath 4000 systems, for example, at other branches of your company). At the
other telephone you can then:
• make calls and assign the charges to cost centers,
• make calls and assign the charges to specific projects,
• Listing to the mailbox
• set appointments.
Using an internal PIN, you can have your calls diverted to a telephone in the of-
fice or department where you will be for a temporary period (call forwarding - "fol-
low me").
Prerequisite:
You have been assigned a PIN by System Support. You require
an internal PIN for calls within your own HiPath 4000 system, while for calls in-
volving other HiPath 4000 systems in the integrated network you require a net-
work-wide PIN.

A time limit is applied to project assignment. It is automatically deactivated
if you have not used your handset for a period of more than five minutes,
for instance.
