6.4 Replacement of Spider in Coupling
The spider (made of rubber) is used between the pump head and the motor. It is
recommended that it be checked once a year and replaced if found defective. If the
pump is started and stopped hundreds of times per day, it is necessary to check it
within a shorter time. To remove the spider, please remove the 4 bolts, which time
the coupling, will be visible.
To have the pump reassembled after overhauling, fit the spider to the coupling, (as
shown by Fig-7), adjust the direction of indented part of the pump head (female) and
that of the motor (male), fit them tightly together, and tighten the bolts firmly
to the motor.
