8-1. Overview of serial communications
The DC-5-P/10-P power has a communications interface accessible from a serial port. This provides
direct control from a host computer via serial communication.
In addition, RS232C and RS485 are both available.
As shown in Fig.8-3 and 4, the on-board connector of the serial port is a D-SUB9 pin male connector,
which is mounted on the unit back face.

The DC-5-P/10-P communication specifications are as follows.
Communications protocol:

Communication rate: Selectable from 115200bps
/ 57600bps / 38400bps / 19200bps / 9600bps
Data length: 8 bit
Stop bit: 1
Parity: none
In addition, each pin of the serial port connector is described in Table 8-1 below.
