4-2 Description of each operation mode
This power supply can be used in the following operation modes.
The control mode is switched on the front panel or using commands via the SERIAL communication
port.
(For instructions to make the settings, see the section about
MODE on “5-1-4 MODE”.)

Operation mode Overview
LOCAL
This is controlled using the front panel.
USER
The control is made from USER I/O PORT.
HOST
The control is made via SERIAL communication (RS-232C, RS-485).
HOST+
Only switching on or off the output is controlled from the I/O port.
Controls for the other than above are performed via SERIAL
communication (RS-232C, RS-485).
* The parameters in each operation mode can be changed with the interface shown below.

4-2-1 Description of LOCAL control function
Switching to the LOCAL settings enables one to set output set values on the front panel and to operate
ON/OFF of DC.
4-2-2 Description of USER control function
Switching to the USER setting enables one to connect the power supply with external control devices,
such as a PLC, to exchange necessary information from USER IO PORT.
