
During an ASCII call
If you do not receive a clear message during an ASCII call, try:
•
Changing the parity setting.
•
Changing the duplex option.
•
Using the other baud rate (110 or 300).
If the code option is set to automatic and your Supercom 4400 loses
the ASCII connection, the Supercom 4400 will display NO ASCII
CONNECTION! and change to Baudot code. To return to ASCII
code, you must turn on ASCII yourself. See
Turning on ASCII code
and changing options
on page 79.
If the code option is set to ASCII and your Supercom 4400 loses the
connection, it waits until the other person changes to ASCII or you
change the code option setting to automatic or Baudot with the
code key (
+
).
Turbo Code lock

Turbo Code lock ensures that a call remains in Turbo Code under
the following conditions:
1.
Both people have already established a phone connection.
2.
Both people have TTYs with Turbo Code lock and they agree
to activate it on each TTY.
To select Turbo lock:
1.
Press the code key (
+
). The display says CODE
(AUTOMATIC).
2.
Press the
to change the setting to TURBO LOCK.
When the call has been completed, return to automatic mode:
1.
Press the code key (
+
). The display says CODE
(TURBO LOCK).
2.
Press the
to change the setting to AUTOMATIC.
