Proceed as for the wing servos:
You might need to grind the servo pocket sides with a Permagrit rotating tool to allow the rudder servo
and cable to pass through.
Secure the servo in the servo cover.
ATTENTION: make sure that the servo spline is located forward in the cover. If not, the distance between
the servo arm and the control horn would be too short to accommodate two ball links.
Connect the HD ball link on the servo with countersink 4-40 hardware.
Place the servo and hatch assembly in the fin.
Drill four 1 mm holes through the cover. Check the holes position are re-drill at the appropriate larger
bore.
Ensure that the control surface slot allows plenty of clearance to glue the fiber horn and the alignment with
the servo arm axis. Tape around the slot. Scuff/ drill the horn and glue with Hysol E-20HP.
Connect two 4-40 mm HD ball links with the 4-40 threaded rod.
Secure the servo cover with 4 of the provided #2 countersink screws.
Connect the servo to the control horn.
Apply thread lock.
Make a square hole at top of the fuselage, matching the fin root for the servo loom USC 12 plugs. The
hole should be big enough to clear the female plug base that will be fastened on the fuselage top.
Secure the female plugs with two sheet metal screws and install the fin loom as per the diagram below.
