Securing the wings:
Fit the two wing joiner tubes through the fuselage.
Pay attention to put them at the center .
Install and glue two hard wood blocks at each end of the largest wing tube. It must be of 1/2" long and fit
inside the tube. This will allow for a good tapping support for the joiner screws.
A pre-drill is already done under both wings on the lower surface to secure the tube.
A plywood reinforcement is located between the fiber tube and the wing skin at the hole location.
Assemble one wing on the tube and against the fuselage. Push the tube to the wing stop.
Make a 2.5 mm hole in the tube.
Thread the wing tube to M3 trough the hard wood block and secure the wing with a M3x25 socket head
screw.
Assemble the second wing on the tube and against the fuselage and check they are perfectly joined to the
fuselage.
Make a 2.5 mm hole in the tube.
Thread the wing tube to M3 and secure the second wing with a M3x25 socket head screw.
Draw the wing limits on the aluminum tube: side, and an up/down mark to find the hole for the wing screw
easily when you assemble the model.
Securing the fin
The fin shall be secured with a screw installed diagonally through the plywood structure and tube.
Install the fin tube in the fuselage.
Place a mark at 15 mm in front of the tube on the fuselage top.
Drill through the fuselage and aluminum tube.
Tap at 4-40.
Countersink the hole.
Insert a countersink 4-40 by 1" machine screw.
Make sure that the screw penetrates well into the aluminum tube and secure with a drop of white glue.
