CONNECTION TO THE MAINS
Connect only according to the voltages
indicated on the characteristics plate.

BEFORE USING THIS APPLIANCE FOR
THE FIRST TIME
• Read these instructions carefully.
• Plug into a 220-240 Volt power outlet
• Do not leave the appliance unattended
when in use.
•Close supervision is necessary when this
appliance is being used by or near children.
• Always use the appliance on a dry, level
surface.
•This appliance must have both cones(3)
loaded with fruit before use.
Unit will not operate with pressure on one
cone only.
•Do not immerse motor base (7) in water or
any other liquid.
• Disconnect this appliance from the mains
when not in use and before cleaning it.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of
a table or counter, become knotted or touch
hot surfaces.
• Wash the parts which are going to be in
contact with food with soapy water.
• This appliance is for household use only.
Do not use this appliance for other than its
intended use.
Do not use outdoors.
•If you find the supply cord is frayed, or the
unit does not operate as specified in this
instruction manual, it should be returned to
the nearest authorised service centre for
inspection.
OPERATING
1.Plug into a 220-240 Volt power outlet and
switch on.
2.Press the power switch (11) on the side of
motor base to the «I» position and make
sure the juice container is in position.
3.Place an orange into slicing compartment
(4) with top of orange facing left side of
compartment (Figure 1).
Lower lid(1) to cut orange through centre.
Excess juice will run into juice container (8).
4.Place orange halves on cones one at a
time.
Remember, pressure on both cones
simultaneously will begin operation.
5.Place another orange in the slicing
compartment (4).
6.Lower lid (1) and, using both hands on
either side of the lid, apply firm pressure.
This will start the juicing operation and cut
the whole orange in half.
Juice will flow into container (8) below.
The appliance will not operate by pressure
on one cone (3) only - both cones must be
loaded with fruit.
7.When halves are fully juiced, discard peel
and repeat steps 5 & 6 until the juice contai-
ner (8) is full (approximately 500 ml.).
Do not fill above the max. fill line.
8.Slide out the juice container (8) to serve
the juice.
The removable sleeve (9) will strain the
excess pulp and any pips from the juice.
If your prefer a higher fibre drink simply
remove the sleeve. The drip tray (10) will
catch any juice remaining in the juicing
chamber (8).

Se o espremedor ficar no meio da operação,
tire os cones (3) e lave a câmara de espremer
(5) para eliminar as pevides que podem ficar
debaixo dos cones (3) e que podem impedir
o funcionamento da máquina.
O DESMONTE DAS PEÇAS
Tire o depósito (8) e o tabuleiro do sumo
(10).
Para desmontar a tampa (1), abra-a total-
mente e faça pressão com os polegares do
modo indicado na (Fig. 2).
Assim, a tampa (1) fica separada da câmara
de espremer (5).
Para evitar o derrame de sumo, desmonte
os cones (3) e a câmara de espremer (5) ao
mesmo tempo accionando a alavanca
dianteira (13).
Agarre com uma mão a base do motor (7) e
pegue com a outra pela parte frontal da
câmara de espremer (5), e tire-o para fora
por cima dos eixos giratórios (6).
Desta maneira afastema-se os cones (3)
junto com a câmara de espremer (5), do
modo indicado na (Fig. 3).
Os cones podem-se tirar também à parte do
depósito de sumo (5).
Para isso só tem que elevâ-los por cima dos
eixos giratórios (6).
Para limpar o tabuleiro destinado a recolher
o liquido (10), só tem que fazê-lo deslizar
para fora.
LIMPEZA
Todas as partes desmotáveis pode-se lavar
com água quente misturada com sabão.
Devido à abundância de corantes que há na
casca dos cítricos, o câmara de espremer
(5) pode ficar tingido.
Para o limpar, aplique sobre a área tingida
uma massa espessa de bicarbonato e água.
Para que faça efeito, deixe-o até o dia
seguinte e lave-o a seguir com água quente
misturada com sabão.
Não lave as peças do espremedor na má-
quina de lavar louça, pois a temperatura
elevada e os produtos de limpeza podem
estragâ-las.
LIMPE A BASE DO MOTOR (7) COM UM
PANO HÚMIDO, E NÃO INTRODUZA A
BASE DO MOTOR NEM O CABO EM ÁGUA
OU NUM OUTRO LÍQUIDO QUALQUER.
MONTAGEM
Torne a colocar a câmara de espremer (5)
sobre a base do motor (7) fazendo deslizar
as linguetas que ficam a sair da parte pos-
terior do recipiente nos entalhes da base do
motor, do modo indicado na (Fig. 4).
Coloque os cones (3) sobre os eixos
giratórios (6).
Coloque a tampa (1) no seu lugar original.
Faça deslizar o tabuleiro dos liquidos (10)
pelos trilhos, colocando o flange posterior
no seu lugar.
Coloque então o depósito de sumo (8) no
seu lugar para o arrumar.
