Avoid sharp bends in the wiring and placing the wires close to the
aircraft flight control systems.
•
Secure the transceiver to the aircraft via at least two (2) of the four (4)
mounting holes. It should be mounted on a flat surface either vertical
or horizontal.
•
It is desirable, but not required, to mount the EchoUAT in a location
where the top cover of the unit is visible for initial or periodic
inspection of the LED status indicators.
Note: Installation of the echoUAT must be in accordance with AC43.13-2B,

Warnings:
Whenever power is supplied to the transceiver, a 50 ohm load
must be connected to the output of the Echo Transceiver. You
can use the supplied antenna or a commercially available 50ohm
load connected to the supplied pigtail cable to terminate the
output correctly.
The SMA RF connection of the echoUAT is easily damaged and
should not be over tightened. The torque specification for the
connector is 7 inch pounds, which is the equivalent to hand
tightening. Over tightening will damage the unit and void the
warranty.
