OPERATION CONTINUED
SLOPES AND INCLINES
• Unit can carry up to 1,000 lbs. maximum under
propulsion up to an 8º incline or decline. If degree
of incline is steeper than 8º under full load, simply
assist climb with a slight push to assist drive system.
PRE-TRIP INSPECTION
• Before each use, check for damaged or missing
components. Replace damaged or missing
components immediately by calling Uline Customer
Service at 1-800-295-5510 for replacement parts.
• Check all fasteners, and be sure to tighten or
replace loose or missing hardware.
• Check welds and material near welds for cracking
or damage.
• Ensure that pneumatic tires are properly inflated to
20-25 psi.
• Unplug charger from hand truck by carefully pulling
connector out of charger port in throttle. Install dust
cover boot over plug connector on throttle to keep
charger port clean. Store charger in a dry, clean
place.
• Test On/Off key switch to be sure unit will turn on and
off as intended.
• Always check that propulsion system is functioning
properly before beginning the day. With the unit
on, test that unit moves forward and backward with
propulsion.
• With unit turned off, release park brake and push or
pull hand truck to ensure it is functioning properly in
manual mode. Then re-engage transaxle.
ON/OFF SWITCH
1. Turn rocker switch to on position.
2. If switch is left on for approximately 20 minutes
without use, controller goes into a power save mode
(sleep mode).
3. To wake the controller, cycle rocker switch to off
position for two seconds, and then back to On
position.
VARIABLE SPEED CONTROL
• Moving throttle lever increases speed in proportion
to how it is pulled or pushed. The further it is moved
away from home position, the faster it will go forward
or reverse.
• The maximum speed is approximately 4.3 mph.
• Releasing lever will automatically return it to zero,
commanding controller to slow down and stop
machine, locking it in place.
• It is recommended operators set High-Low speed
switch to low when operating indoors and/or when
loaded.
• Operating in high speed mode is suggested only
when operator has ample room to move and stop,
with few obstacles.
MOVING WITH PROPULSION
To use propulsion, be sure that motor’s brake lever is in
the up position to engage transaxle.
1. Turn unit On. Check to be sure surroundings are
clear.
2. Pull throttle lever backward (toward user) to move in
reverse. Push throttle lever forward (away from user)
to move forward.
• To increase speed, push or pull throttle lever further
away from home position. (See Figure 11)
• To slow unit, move throttle lever closer to home
position.
• When releasing throttle lever, unit will slowly come to
a complete stop and park brake will engage.
• Hand truck will slow to a stop and park in place
even on an incline, as long as load on hand truck
does not exceed capacity.
