NOTE: Deep discharge on a continual basis will
shorten service life of batteries.
• Battery performance may be reduced when
operating in temperatures less than 40ºF. Anticipate
a range reduction by 50% or more when operating
at temperatures below 32ºF.
CHARGING BATTERY
• Unit includes an off-board 36V charger. To charge
machine, plug one end of charger into a 110V
wall outlet, and the other end into charger port.
(See Figure 1) An LED light on the charger will be
solid orange while unit is charging. When unit is
completely charged, light will turn solid green. For
optimum performance, charge in temperatures from
50-100ºF.
• It is essential that unit be kept on a charger
whenever it is not in use; batteries will not
overcharge. Before use, unplug charger from unit
by carefully pulling connector out of charger port in
throttle. Install dust cover boot over plug connector
on throttle to keep charger port clean.
• Batteries may also be charged separate from
machine (i.e. bench charging). Bench charging
is very useful if extra range is desired by having
a second battery pack fully charged, or if power
source is far from where machine is stored.
To charge using this method:
1. Open battery compartment door. (See Figure 2)
2. Remove pin. (See Figure 3)
3. Slide out battery pack. (See Figure 4)
NOTE: Battery pack weighs approximately
38 lbs.
4. Insert charger connector into charge port on
battery pack to begin charging. (See Figure 5)
