Removing the Front Bezel
Care must be taken to ensure that the latches on the front bezel used to attach it to the
system chassis does not break. Follow this procedure to detach it from the system
chassis:
1.
Open the cabinet cover (see the previous section in this chapter).
2.
Remove the primary hard disk drive (see chapter 2 on Installing a Hard Disk Drive).
3.
Remove the bracket containing the secondary hard disk drive, if any (see chapter 7
on Adding a Secondary Hard Disk Drive).
4.
Place aside the fan holder containing the system fans (see later section on
“Replacing the Fan” in this chapter).
5.
Push the rightmost side latch to the right (

) , lift up the top right latch (

) , push
down the middle latch (
p
) , and then lift up the top left latch (
q
) . The leftmost side
latch (
r
) should detach easily. Then remove the front bezel.
Reverse the above sequence when re-attaching the front bezel to prevent any of the
latches from breaking.
