Electrical connectors
6.3 Serial port
The serial port is used to communicate with a PLC or with another type of device.
It can be used as RS232-, RS422- or RS485-interface and is configurable via CODESYS.
In CODSYS, the serial port on the TX500 is referred to as COM1.

NOTE
In case of using the interface as RS485-interface, pin 3 and 4 as well as pin 7 and 8 have
to be bridged externally.
The communication cable must be chosen for the type of device being connected.

The Ethernet ports have two status indicators. Please see description in figure.
