6. Electrical connection
Note
All installation work must comply with the specifications of
the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
Connection cables carry life-threatening voltage.
Ø Do not work under voltage.
Ø
Before connecting, check battery cables to ensure that they
are not electrically live.
Ø Before connecting, check DC link voltage cables to ensure
that they are not electrically live.
Danger of fire
Ø Observe the installation regulations of the installation site.
Ø Fuse the battery connection with max. 350 ADC at all poles.
Ø
Fuse the DC link with max. 20 ADC at all poles.
Interchanged polarity destroys DC-DC modules.
Ø Maintain polarity.
Abrupt connection of the DC link voltage can destroy DC-
DC modules.
Ø Slowly increase the DC link voltage of 0 V to maximum volt-
age (ramp > 1 s).
Abrupt connection of the battery voltage can destroy the
DC-DC module.
Ø Pre-charge battery connection parts of the DC-DC module
to current battery voltage.
6.1 Establishing electrical connection

■ Battery is fully discharged for all connection work.
