Water supply
When installing a water supply into the vehicle, please ensure
that there is an adequate distance between the water hoses
and the heat source (e.g. heater, warm air duct).
A water hose may only be fitted at a clearance of 1.5 m to the
heater on the warm air duct. The Truma hose clip SC (part no.
40712-01) can be used if this distance is observed. In the case
of parallel installations, e.g. openings through a wall, a spacer
element should also be attached (e.g. insulation) to prevent
contact.
Miscellaneous
When installing a perforated drawer above a heater, i.e. for
drying objects, an intermediate shelf (minimum depth 380 mm)
made of uncoated wood) is required. Covers in the installation
area must be made of a temperature-resistant material (no
PVC or similar).
If the vehicle is provided with an under-chassis guard, all
heating parts under the car must be covered so that the pro-
duced spray mist cannot lead to heating system malfunctions.
Remove the covers again after finishing work..
In order to achieve a quick distribution of warm air and
reduction of the surface temperature on the outlet grill of
warm air, we recommend the installation of a Truma fan TEB-
3 or TN-3. The heater must be equipped with at least one fan.
A special installation box is available for operation with two
fans.
Preparatory work and installation box
For the unit to work perfectly, it is important that the
lower edges of the installation box and the heating bees
are at one level and that the base is positioned in accordance
with the installation template so that the control knob is nei-
ther too high nor too low.
Fix the installation template on the floor of the installation
cut-out, the arrow must point exactly to the front edge of the
cut-out (R = right installation, L = left installation).
Saw out the floor cut-out and pre-punch the 5 points for the
fixing screws.
Seal interfaces and allow them to dry completely.
Do not use
any flammable / heat-sensitive materials.
Fig. A (right installation) / fig. B (left installation)
Insert the halves of the frame (4) into the floor cutout, push
outwards and screw tight (you may also want to bend the
legs out beforehand so that the frame fits well).
The sealing means that an additional seal between the frame
halves and the floor is not required.
If the vehicle manufacturer stipulates a seal, surplus sealing
material, particularly detached threads, must be removed.
Do not use any flammable / heat-sensitive materials.
Break the pre-punched recesses for the exhaust duct on the
installation box (1) (R = right installation, L = left installation).
If the installation depth is shallower, the exhaust duct can also
be installed on the side (R1 or L1).

If a Truma fan and / or the additional electric heater,
Truma Ultraheat, is mounted, remove the cover (T or U)
and pre-mount them in accordance with the respective en-
closed installation instructions on the installation box.
– Place the installation box outer part and inner part on top of
each other and fix with 7 screws (3.5 x 9.5) – right installa-
tion (R) and left installation (L).
– Fix the fan(s) (20) with 3 screws each (3.5 x 19) to the instal-
lation box. If a fan is not mounted, the screws still need to
be screwed in to prevent the installation box rattling.
– Place the supports (60) onto the nozzles (1a) in the installa-
tion box and click in place.
Internal control panel
– push the control panel cable (23 – silicone) for the fan
through the recess in the support and clamp in the foreseen
cable guide.
External control panel
– the control panel cable(s) (not illustrated) may not
against the heating, the fan or hot air pipe. Fix the cables
sufficiently.
– Fix the installation box in the installation cut-out with
6 screws (3 x 12) inclined outwards. If this is not possible,
the installation box can be fixed at the side on the top end
of the installation cut-out with 4 screws.
– Fix the support (60) with 4 screws (3.5 x 16).
– Slide the blend (61) on from the front until clicks in.
