15. Network installation of Trotec laser engravers
Your Trotec Laser engraver can be installed also in a network. This will make it
possible to send jobs from any computer in the network to the job queue of the
computer that runs the laser.
You need:
•
One computer to run the laser (and create jobs)
•
Several computers to create jobs
Steps for creating a network installation:
1. Install the printer driver and the Trotec manager on all your computers.
2.
Map on every computer (except the one that runs the laser) a network
drive to:
Computer_that_runs_the_laser \ Hard _Disk_where_manager_is
_installed \ Directory_where_manager_is _installed
3.
Alter in the trotec.ini file, which is located in the Windows directory of every
computer, the lines:
ArchivePath=C:\Trotec\Archiv\ to
ArchivePath=Mapped Drive:\Archiv\
SpoolPath=C:\Trotec\Spool\
to
SpoolPath=Mapped Drive:\Spool\
WorkPath=C:\Trotec\Work\
to
WorkPath=MappedDrive:\Work\
ApplicationPath=C:\SPEEDY\ to
ApplicationPath=Mapped Drive:\
The trotec.ini file looks like this:
