composite video display.
12. If the sync and blanking pulses of the displayed
video signals are positive, set the S Y N C switch
to the " V I D E O + " position; if the sync and
b l a n k i n g p u l s e s are n e g a t i v e , u s e the
" V I D E O — " position.
13. Push in the T R I G L E V E L control and rotate to a
position that provides a well synchronized dis-
play.
14. Adjust the I N T E N S I T Y and F O C U S controls for
the desired brightness and best focus.
15.
To view a specific portion of the waveform,
such as the color burst, pull outward on the
POSITION control for
X10
magnification.
Rotate the same control left or right to select
the desired portion of the waveform to be
viewed.
16.
Composite video waveforms may be checked
at other points in the video circuits by moving
the probe tip to those points and changing the
V O L T S / D I V control setting as required to
the display within the limits of s c a l e ,
and by readjusting the T R I G L E V E L control
to maintain stabilization. The polarity of the
observed waveform may be reversed when
moving from one monitoring point to another;
therefore, it may be necessary to switch from
V I D E O - f to V I D E O — sync, or vice versa.
