Velocity of Propagation
The Velocity of Propagation setting is used to set
the propagation value for the cable under test.
The default setting for the velocity of propagation is
82.0%
. The velocity of propagation can be set from
a minimum of 60.0% up to a maximum of 99.0%.
Use either of the following methods to change the
velocity of propagation:
• Use the up/down arrow buttons to change
the value in 0.1% increments.
• Press the
Enter
button and use the
Virtual
Keyboard to directly enter the velocity of
propagation as shown in the image to the
right.
Hum Type (OPTIONAL)
The Hum Type setting is used to set the default
hum type for testing.
The default setting for
Hum Type is 60 Hz , use the
up/down arrow buttons to select from the following
preset values:
• 60 Hz
• 50 Hz
