Use

Modify the settings associated with the currently highlighted profile.  Refer to the "SMS 

Profile" screen below.  This option is disabled for "Common Settings".  To modify Common 

Settings, please select the [Change] Option.

Refer to the "Common Settings" screen below for details on changing your common 

settings.

"Common Settings" Screen 

General settings are those settings which are not applicable to any specific profile, but instead are common to all profiles. 

   

 

Use 

 key to browse the Settings options then press the 

 key. 

Voice box number XXX 

View or modify your voice mailbox number.  This number is used and is necessary in the 

retrieval of your voice mail.  Refer to the "Voice Box" screen below. 

Store at: XXX 

Specify the default storage location for your messages.  Refer to the "SMS Storage" screen 

below. 

Connection: XXX 

Specify the transport medium for your short messages eg GSM or GPRS.  Refer to the 

"SMS Connection" screen below. 

Reply path 

Specify a reply address which is different to your normal telephone number.  If specified, 

any replies to your message(s) will be sent to the specified number instead of this phone.    

Deliver Report 

If enabled, the network will notify you (by means of a special short message) that your 

outgoing message has been delivered to the recipient(s). 

Show deliver report 

If enabled, any received delivery reports are displayed on the screen immediately as they 

are received.  Otherwise, the delivery reports are stored in your Inbox similar to your 

normal received messages.  Note that the receipt of Delivery Reports is dependant on the 

state of the "Delivery Report" setting. 

Auto store sent SMS 

If enabled, copies of your sent messages are automatically stored in your Outbox.  

Otherwise, no record is kept of your sent messages.    

Confirm SMS Sending 

If enabled, your phone will prompt you for confirmation prior to the transmission of 

outbound messages.
