7.  Turn the appliance off and install the crushed glass. 

 

Crushed Glass Installation 

Open up the bags of crushed glass and pour 
them onto the burner and perforated steel.  
Pour the bags evenly so all eight bags are 
evenly distributed. 

 

 

 

NOTE

: Do not place crushed glass on the 

channels directly in front of or behind the 
perforated steel. 

 

 

Carefully distribute the crushed glass evenly 
across the burner and perforated steel. 

 

Carefully remove the crushed glass from the 
area directly above the pilot and the starter 
holes directly in front of the pilot.   

 

NOTE

: Failure to clear this area will result in 

poor fireplace ignition.  This may lead to 
delayed ignition “pops” or sooting. 

 

 

8.  Replace the glass frame.  Turn the appliance on and verify air shutter adjustment.  If adjustment is necessary, 

you may wish to shut the appliance off and make uniform adjustments to all three air shutters simultaneously 
(turn all three air shutter down one notch or up one notch). 

NOTE

: If flame quality is excessively fast and flickering or slow and lazy you may need to adjust the exhaust 

blower rheostat.  This adjustment is best not made unless you are 100% certain.  Contact Travis Industries 
before adjusting the rheostat. 

9.  Give this manual to the home owner for future reference and fully explain operation of this fireplace.
