If the rear wheels turn, the brake must undergo
maintenance. Contact your nearest TRAPP
Authorized Service Center.
If the tractor does not stop when the brake
pedal is fully tightened or if the tractor moves
with the parking brake activated, the brake will
need adjustment. Refer to the nearest TRAPP
Authorized Service Center to adjust the brakes.
Check the oil level before starting the
engine
The engine of your tractor is already supplied
with oil.
1. Check the engine oil with the tractor on level
ground;
2. Remove the oil reservoir cap and the dipstick;
clean them, reinsert the dipstick and tighten the cap
firmly. Wait a few seconds, remove the assembly
again and check the oil level. If necessary, fill
the oil to the “FULL” mark on the dipstick. Avoid
completing the oil beyond this mark.
For operation in cold weather, it is necessary
to change the oil to allow an easier start. Refer
to the
Maintenance
section of this manual to
know how to change the engine oil and what
is the optimum oil type.
Attention!
Change the oil of your tractor in the first 5 hours of
use, due to its permanence in stock.
Filling the gas tank
Fill the fuel tank to the bottom of the inlet
opening. Avoid fueling beyond that point. Use
regular, fresh, clean and unleaded gasoline
with a minimum of 87 octanes (leaded
gasoline will increase lead oxide and carbon
deposits, reducing the valve life). Do not mix
oil and gasoline. Get enough fuel for 30 days
to make sure it’s always new.
Beware!
Clean any spilled fuel or oil. Never store, pour or
use gasoline near the flare.
Important:
When operating in temperatures below 0 °C, use
new and clean winter gasoline to ensure a good
start in cold weather.
Beware!
Fuels with alcohol in their composition (such as
ethanol or methanol) can attract moisture, which
causes the separation and formation of acids
during storage. Acidified gases can damage the
engine’s fuel system during periods of storage. To
avoid problems with the engine, the fuel system
must be emptied prior to any storage period of 30
days or more. Drain the fuel tank, start the engine
and keep it running until the fuel shut-off occurs.
Use new gasoline when using the tractor again.
See Storage Instructions for more information. To
avoid permanent damage, never use engine and
carburetors cleaners in the fuel tank.
