Adjusting your Tractor
Warning!
Never make any adjustments while the engine is
running.
Warning!
To avoid serious injury, before performing any
maintenance or adjustment:
1. Do not make any adjustments while the
engine is running;
2. Fully depress the clutch/brake pedal and
engage the parking brake;
3. Set the drive control lever to neutral (N);
4. Set the mower assembly triggering lever to
the “disengaged” position;
5. Turn the ignition key to the STOP position
and remove the key;
6. Check that the blades and all moving parts
are completely stopped;
7. Disconnect the spark plug cable and position
it so that it cannot come into contact with the
spark plug.
Leveling the mower deck
Check the tire pressure before leveling the
mower deck.
Front to back
Beware!
The blades are sharp. Protect your hands with
gloves and/or wrap the blade in a cloth.
The front of the deck is supported by a stabilizer
bar that must be adjusted to level the front with
the rear. The front of the deck should be 6-9 mm
lower than your rear. If adjustment is required,
proceed as follows:
1. With the tractor parked on a flat surface, set the cut
height adjustment lever to the maximum height (5
th
position) and rotate the blade near the side of the
tractor until it is parallel to the tractor;
2. Measure the distance from the front of the deck to the
ground and the distance from the rear to the ground.
The first measurement should have a difference of
6-9 mm from the second. Determine the distance
required to correct the setting, and if necessary,
proceed to the next step;
3. Locate the locking nut and the adjusting nut on the
front of the stabilizer bar bracket. See Image 17;
After loosening the locking nut:
Tighten the adjusting nut to raise the front
of the deck.
Loosen the adjusting nut to lower the front
of the deck.
4. Retighten the locking nut when you reach the
desired setting.
Beware!
The mower deck should be adjusted following the
instructions in items 1 and 2, otherwise it could
contact the rear tire on the right side, causing
damage to the product.
