WARRANTY/REPAIR INFORMATION
LIMITED WARRANTY
Trace Engineering warrants its power products against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of
two (2) years from the date of purchase and extends this warranty to all purchasers or owners of the product
during the warranty period. This warranty is void under the following circumstances:
(1)
improper and/or unauthorized repair not provided by Trace Engineering or its Authorized Service
Centers;
(2)
when the product is installed or exposed or exposed to an unsuitable environment as evidenced
by generalized corrosion or biological infestation;
(3)
abnormal use of the product or use in violation of the instructions;
(4)
when used as a component parts of a product expressly warranted by another manufacturer.
Trace Engineering agrees to supply all parts and labor or repair or replace defects covered by this
warranty with parts or products of original or improved design, at the company’s option. Trace Engineering
also reserves the right to improve the design of its products without obligation to modify or upgrade those
previously manufactured. Defective products must be returned to Trace Engineering or its Authorized
Service Center in the original packaging. The cost of transportation and insurance on items returned for
service is the responsibility of the customer.
All remedies and the measure of damages are limited to the above. Trace Engineering shall in no event be
liable for consequential, incidental, contingent, or special damages, even if Trace Engineering has been
advised of the possibility of such damages. Any and all other warranties, expressed or implied, arising by law,
course of dealing, course of performance, usage of trade or otherwise, including, but not limited to, implied
warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration for a period of two (2)
years from the original date of purchase.
Some countries or states do not allow limitations on the term of an implied warranty, or the exclusion or
limitation of incidental or consequential damage, which means the limitations and exclusions of this
warranty, may not apply to you. Even though this warranty gives you specific legal rights, you may also
have other rights that vary from state to state.
WARRANTY REGISTRATION
Complete the warranty card and mail it to Trace Engineering within 10 days from the date of purchase.
keep your bill of sale as proof of purchase, should any difficulties arise concerning the registration of the
warranty card.
Warranty Registration is tracked by model and serial numbers only, not by owner’s name. Therefore, any
correspondence or inquiries made to Trace Engineering must include the model and serial number of the
product in question.
LIFE SUPPORT POLICY
As a general policy, Trace Engineering, Inc. does not recommend the use of any of its products in life
support applications where failure or malfunction of the Trace Engineering product can be reasonably
expected to cause failure of the life support device or to significantly affect its safety or effectiveness.
Trace Engineering, Inc. does not recommend the use of any of its products in direct patient care. Trace
Engineering, Inc. will not knowingly sell its products for use in such applications unless it receives in
writing assurances satisfactory to Trace Engineering, Inc. that (a) the risks of injury or damage have been
minimized, (b) the customer assumes all such risks, and the liability of Trace Engineering, Inc. is
adequately protected under the circumstances
Examples of devices considered to be life support devices are neonatal oxygen analyzers, nerve
stimulators (whether used for anesthesia, pain relief, or other purposes), autotransfusion devices, blood
pumps, defibrillators, arrhythmia detectors and alarms, pacemakers, hemodialysis systems, peritoneal
dialysis systems, neonatal ventilator incubators, ventilators for both adults and infants, anesthesia
ventilators, and infusion pumps as well as any other devices designated as “critical” by the U.S. FDA.
