Replacing the sliver breakers
1.
Open the disc housing as described in chapter 7.
2.
Remove the bolts that secure the knife and clamping plate/sliver breaker (2) to the disc.
3.
Replace the sliver breakers (2).
4.
Carefully clean the knife, sliver breaker (2) and contact surface.
5.
When fitting the sliver breaker, the bolts must be lightly oiled (
m
=0.125), i.e. light oil,
WD 40 or an equivalent product. Do not use copper grease, MoS
2
or similar low friction
grease.
6.
Check that the distance between the knife edge and the counterknife is set correctly to
D
(see point 10).
7.
Tighten the bolts to
110 Nm / 11 KPm
Use a torque spanner for this purpose (available as
extra equipment).
8.
Finally, close the disc housing as described in chapter 7.
