Use the included needle plate 
screwdriver to turn the two needle plate 
screws clockwise and install them.

Install the presser foot and the needle.

Turn the handwheel to check that the needle correctly enters the hole in the needle plate.

* If the bobbin case is not installed correctly, the handwheel does not turn smoothly. If this occurs, remove the needle 

plate and bobbin case, and install them again.

* For details on installing the needle, refer to page 24.

For details on installing the presser foot, refer to page 26.

 Caution

When checking that the needle correctly enters the hole in the needle plate, do not 
perform any operation other than turning the handwheel.

Doing so could cause injuries.
