5-6. Playing an audio CD and MP3/WMA/AAC discs

CD-DA files
If a disc contains CD-DA files and MP3/WMA/AAC files, only the CD-DA files
can be played back.
■
Displaying the title and artist name
If a CD-TEXT disc is inserted, the title of the disc and track will be displayed.
Up to 32 characters can be displayed.

Error messages
If the following error messages appear on the screen, refer to the table and
take the appropriate measures. If the problem is not rectified, take the vehicle
to your Toyota dealer.

Discs that can be used
Discs with the marks shown below can be used.
Playback may not be possible depending on recording format or disc fea-
tures, or due to scratches, dirt or deterioration.
CDs with copy-protection features may not play correctly.

CD player protection feature
To protect the internal components, playback is automatically stopped when a
problem is detected.

If a disc is left inside the CD player or in the ejected position for
extended periods
Disc may be damaged and may not play properly.
Message
Cause/Correction procedures
“Check DISC”
It indicates that the disc is dirty, damaged, or it
was inserted upside down. Clean the disc or
insert it correctly.
It indicates a disc which is not playable is
inserted.
“Region Code Error”
This indicates that the DVD region code is not set
properly.
“DISC error”
There is a trouble inside the system.
Eject the disc.
