Do not work indoors; provide good ventilation. Work only in a clean area, away from inflammable or greasy materials. Wear eye
protection. Do not wear greasy clothes. Avoid welding and soldering fumes.
During work observe indications regarding: gas consumption (at normal settings) adequately for each of the accessories and the
shelf life of the gas cartridges.
Disconnect the gas cartridge, if the unit is not to be used for a long period or in case it is transported in a vehicle.
Store and transport gas cartridge upright. Protect them from children.
Use only specified spare parts. Do not ever use a unit with a damaged element.

In case of a gas leakage, it is required to immediately turn the burner off and walk away from any source of fire and high temperatu-
re. Proceed in accordance with the information contained in safety data sheet provided along with the gas cartridge. Head against
the wind. Isolate the contaminated area and keep bystanders away. Try to stop or at least reduce the emission to the environment,
if possible. Use adequate protection of the respiratory tract. Spray water mist to minimise and limit the release of gas.
OPERATION OF THE TOOL
Installation of a gas cartridge
Installation of a gas cartridge should be realised outdoors or in a well-ventilated room, far from sources of fire or excessive heat.
Maintain a safe distance from bystanders.
If there is a gas cartridge in the soldering lamp, then make sure it is empty. Shake the gas cartridge, and if you can hear the sound
of a liquid then there is gas in the cartridge. In such cases it is prohibited to remove the gas cartridge.
Close the gas valve, turning the handwheel of the regulator to the limit towards the symbol „-”.
Make sure the needle and the sealing around it are not damaged or worn out. A correct needle and sealing is shown in Illustration
(III). In case you detect any sign indicating they are damaged or worn out, for example those presented in Illustration (IV), then it
is prohibited to install a gas cartridge.
In case of the soldering lamp 73400 it is required to remove the fixing nut (V), and in case of the soldering lamp 73403 to remove
the wire strut (VI). Insert the gas cartridge to the lamp basket and press it until the membrane of the gas cartridge has been
perforated. Once the membrane of the gas cartridge has been perforated the gas will come out, and from this moment on the gas
cartridge must not be removed until it is completely empty. Then protect the gas cartridge from sliding out of the basket tightening
the fixing nut (in 73400) or wire strut (in 73403).
Attention! It is prohibited to operate the soldering lamp without a correctly installed gas cartridge, which is, for example, incorrectly
protected in the basket.
Make sure there is no gas leakage, using water with soap. In case bubbles are formed then there is leakage. It is prohibited to
work with a tool in which gas leakage has been detected.
Work with a soldering lamp
Make sure there is no gas leakage, and then slightly turn the handwheel of the regulator towards the symbol „+”. Light the gas
at the outlet of the burner. In case of the lamp 73400 use the external lighter (VII), and in case of the lamp 73403 you may use
the internal lighter, pressing the button (VIII). Using the handwheel of the regulator adjust the flame so that the flame is blue.
Avoid orange flames. Before you proceed to work, wait for approximately one minute, observing all the time if there is any sign of
undesirable functioning. During the initial stage of heating up there might be some flickering of gas. At that stage the gas cartridge
is in an upright position. If the flickering does not stop automatically, then it is necessary to turn the flame off and contact the
manufacturer.
Attention! During work do not incline the lamp more than necessary. The gas cartridge should not be inclined by more than 45
grades towards any direction.
Attention! Do not put a burning burner down. Do not heat up the gas cartridge.
Turning the lamp burner off
Turn the handwheel of the regulator to the limit towards the symbol „-”. The flame will go out automatically. Be careful, since the
metal parts of the burner heated up during work. Put the lamp down and wait until it has cooled down.
Attention! It is prohibited to cool the lamp down with water.
Maintenance of the tool
Clean the tool with a soft, humid cloth. Heavy dirt should be removed with water and soap. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
In case of any damage or dirt in the nozzle contact a service point of the manufacturer. It is prohibited to clean the nozzle alone,
particularly using sharp objects.
Do not modify the tool. Do not use a tool with damaged elements.
Storage
The tool must be stored in the provided individual cases in a dark, dry and well ventilated room, protected from any access of
unauthorised persons, particularly children. The tool must be stored in an upright position.
