Manual Mode:
1. In addition to the Smart cooking feature, the unit also allows for manual
grilling, to suit individual preference.
2. Press the ‘M’ button on the unit’s control panel when the grill is in operation
to select the Manual cooking mode. There will be a sound prompt and all the
indicator lights on the unit’s LCD screen will become solid at once then begin
to flash in sequence. This indicates Manual mode has been selected.
3. Once Manual mode has been selected, press the ‘OK’ button to start the
cooking process. There will be a sound prompt and the Pre-Heating light on
the unit’s control panel will remain lit, but all the other indicator lights will stop
flashing and go out. This indicates the cooking cycle has begun and the unit is
pre-heating.
4. When the unit has finished pre-heating, there will be a repeating sound
prompt and the blue Pre-Heating indicator will go out. The remaining
indicators on the unit’s LCD screen will begin flashing in succession to indicate
the unit has reached the correct temperature and the food can now be placed
onto the grill plates.
5. Place the food onto the grill cooking plates and close the lid if required. The
cooking process will now begin.
Note:
In Manual cooking mode, the light-up indicators will not change as the
cooking cycle progresses, as they would in Smart mode. Instead, the Pre-Heat
button will remain solid once the unit has finished pre-heating, while the
remaining indicators will continually flash in sequence backwards and forwards
for as long as the unit is in operation. When cooking in manual mode, food
should be checked on regularly to ensure the desired doneness is reached and
prevent overcooking.
Grilling Guide:
Contact grilling is a healthy and efficient way to cook. The cooking times are
approximate due to variances in ingredient thickness. It is not recommended
to cook items with thick bones such as T-bone steaks, as these may not be fully
cooked through and the bone may scratch the non-stick surface.
