Note:

The pre-heating time for this unit is approximately 3 minutes.

3.  Once the unit has finished pre-heating, the blue light indicator will become

solid and the amber Start to Cook light will come on and begin to flash. This

indicates the food can now be inserted into the unit.

Note:

Place the food as close to the centre of the grilling plates as possible to

ensure optimum results. For best results, observe a distance of approximately

2cm between the food and the edge of the grill plates, on all sides.

4.  Once the food has been placed onto the grilling plates, the unit will

automatically begin cooking in the selected settings.

Mode Selection:

This grill is equipped with both Smart (automatic) and Manual cooking modes.

Press the ‘M’ button on the unit’s control panel to enter Manual mode.

Note:

When the grill is first turned on, it will automatically default to Smart

mode.

Note:

Pressing the ‘M’ button will only select manual mode. Pressing it again

will not revert the appliance back to smart mode. To select smart mode when

operating in manual mode, press the On/Off button to turn the unit off, then

press it again to turn the unit back on. The unit will automatically default to

smart mode unless the ‘M’ button is pressed again.

Smart Mode:

1.  When the Smart cooking mode is selected, the unit will automatically carry

out one of 7 available pre-sets, each programmed with the ideal settings for

cooking its corresponding type of food. The available pre-sets for the Smart

cooking mode are as follows: frozen food, bacon, chicken, sausage, beef (steak),

fish and burgers.

Note:

The Frozen Food setting is for defrosting purposes only. When cooking

frozen food, use this setting to thaw the food, then use the corresponding pre-

set to cook it. DO NOT use the Frozen Food setting to cook food from frozen, as it

may not be cooked through properly.

2.  To activate Smart mode, start by connecting the unit to the mains and turning

it on. Once the grill is in operation, close the lid and press any of the 7 pre-set

buttons on the unit’s control panel to automatically select the required settings

for that specific type of cooking. Each button will illuminate when pressed to

show the corresponding pre-set has been selected.

Note:

Smart mode will not activate until the unit’s lid is closed, and no pre-set

menus can be selected while the lid is in the up position. Ensure the lid has been

pulled down before attempting to use this function.
