Battery Pack Installation 

A battery pack provides the 

µ

FLO with it’s operating power. The battery is packed and shipped 

separately. The battery is not installed in 

µ

FLO when shipped. Before installation, inspect power cables, 

where they terminate on battery pack, and connector for breakage. 

Instructions 

Step Description 

1.  

Open 

µ

FLO hinged door. Insert battery pack (wires attached by 

manufacturer) into compartment. Insert battery pack so that it’s terminals 
are not touching either the keeper lip on the shelf or any metal surface 
inside of the unit.  

2.  

Connect battery pack connector to 

µ

FLO 2100767 Board BATTERY 

CONN J6 (Figure 2–11, Item 3) connector, located in upper left corner of 
Board. 

3.    Observe LCD, the display should be on and scrolling through the startup 

diagnostics sequence. 

 

Solar Panel Installation 

The Solar Panel is designed for outdoor mounting on a 2” extension pipe installed on upper end of 

µ

FLO 

40” mounting pipe. See Figure 2–12. Solar panel must be mounted within 12 feet of 

µ

FLO (other lengths 

available). For wall mounted 

µ

FLO it can be mounted on top or side of meter house. 

 

Do not connect solar panel power cable to the 

µ

FLO unless main battery pack has 

been connected to J6 (Figure 2–11, Item 3). Refer to previous section on Battery 
Pack Installation. 

 

If installation procedures are required for mounting Solar Panel on top or side of 
meter house, customer should contact Totalflow’s Service Department; see page x, 
Getting Help. 

Procedure 

Our standard solar panel must be mounted within 12 feet of 

µ

FLO. For Solar Panel 

mounting, the following materials are required. See Figure 2–12.
