NOTE: Do not apply excessive force to the top of an optical disk drive.

Do not touch the shaded portion of the figure below, when the drive is removed
or installed.

Removing optical disk drive

The following describes the procedure of removing an optical disk drive (Figure 4-12and 4-
13).

Remove the following

screws

securing an optical disk drive.

5.0B FLAT BIND screw

Disconnect an

optical disk drive

toward the arrow direction from the connector on

the system board.

Take the side screws and disassemble the side bracket
