4 Replacement Procedures

PORTEGE M300 Maintenance Manual (960-504)

Installing the HDD

To install the HDD, follow the steps below and refer to figures 4-7 and 4-8.

Install a HDD into the

HDD bracket

and secure it with the following

screws

M3.0

4.0S

FLAT HEAD screw

NOTE:

When installing the HDD bracket, be sure to secure the screws in the order of the

number marked on the holder (1? 2? 3? 4).

Cover the

HDD cushion rubbers

to the both sides of HDD assembly.

Connect the HDD assembly to the connector of the

HDD FPC

Seat the

HDD assembly

in the slot of the computer.

NOTE:

When installing the HDD assembly to the slot, make sure that the printed

character "UP" on the HDD cushion rubber is not seen from the slot.

Install the

HDD slot cover

and secure it with the

screw (with e-ring)
