4.21 Modem

Removing the modem

To remove the modem, follow the steps below and refer to figures 4-34 and 4-35.

Remove the following

screws

securing the MDC.

M2.0x4.0Z

BIND screw

Disconnect the

MDC

from the connector

CN3000

on the system board by lifting it straight

up.

Disconnect the

modem cable

from the connector of the MDC.

Disconnect the modem cable from the connector

on the system board.

Turning up the

insulators 1

covering the modem cable, pull out the modem cable.

Opening the

insulator 2

covering the

core

of modem cable, pull out the modem cable from

the slit of insulator and remove it from the system board.
