IP4100 Install Sept., 2013
2-1
Chapter 2 – Configuration for IPedge
IPedge CONFIGURATION
IP4100 telephones are programmed in the IPedge database as SIP
stations. Each IP4100 handset is a station.
License Requirements
Each IP4100 SIP telephone requires a SIP Endpoint User License (ICP-
USR-EC, I-CP-USR-EM or I-CP-USR-EP). The IP4100 Base Stations do
not require a user license.
Conference Support
IPedge systems running R1.5 and later software support multiple SIP
channels per station, this allows the IP4100 to receive a call (call waiting
notification) when it is already on a call. In Enterprise Manager select
Station > Station Assignment
. Select the SIP station DN and edit. Click
on the
Show advanced configuration
link. Set the SIP Channels
parameter to
2
then, click on the
Save
icon. Additional licenses for the
additional SIP channels are not required.
Important!
In the IP4100 base you can do a forced reboot and this
will allow all handset to re-register with the 2 SIP
channels without having to touch every handset.
When the handset comes up it will register with the
system and have the capability to receive a second call.
