Damage to the battery or other electrical loads from a short circuit.

When working on the batteries, always switch the system off at the main
switch.

If you are using a Torqeedo Power 48 5000, then this must also be switched
off.
■
When connecting the batteries, ensure that you first connect the red positive
cable followed by the black negative cable.
■
When disconnecting the batteries, ensure that you first disconnect the black
negative cable followed by the red positive cable.
■
Never transpose the polarities.
CAUTION!
Risk of burns from hot motor.
Minor or moderately severe physical injuries may result.

Never touch the motor during or just after a trip.
CAUTION!
Danger of crushing if motor tips down in uncontrolled manner.
Slight or moderately severe physical injuries may result.
■
Always use the tilt lock when tilting the motor.
ADVICE
The magnetic kill switch can wipe magnetic data media. Keep the magnetic kill
switch away from magnetic data media.
