4. Apply a light coat of clean oil to the new filter seal
before screwing it on.
5. Screw the filter on until the gasket contacts the
mounting plate, then tighten the filter 1/2 to 2/3 of
a turn.
Do not overtighten.
6. Add oil to the crankcase; refer to Checking the
Engine Oil Level.

Every 400 hours/Yearly (whichever

Inspect the fuel lines and connections for deterioration,
damage, or loose connections.

Service Interval:
Before each use or daily—Drain water
or other contaminants from the water
separator.
1. Place a clean container under the fuel filter
(Figure 49).
2. Loosen the drain plug on the bottom of the filter
canister.

Changing the Fuel Filter Canister
Service Interval:
Every 400 hours—Replace the fuel
filter canister.
1. Drain the water from the water separator; refer to
