EMERGENCY MANEUVERS
5.1
MAINTENANCE
The design of the actuator provides for use of parts that
do not require regular routine or special maintenance of
great significance.
Under extreme conditions of use (such as particularly
dirty working environment, frequent operation, extreme
temperature variations, possible load variations due to
snow or wind, etc.), it is essential to check at least every 6
months:
- the cleaning of the elements forming the actuator unit,
- the seal of the fastening system (brackets and screws),
- any misshapenness of the window and of the gasket
seal,
- the conditions of wires and connections.
If necessary, remove any dirt from the chain with a soft
cloth and apply a light coat of grease (type nyogel788 -
Tecnolube Seal).
The external cleaning of the device must not be done
using abrasive, aggressive or easily flammable
substances.
&
Routine and special maintenance of the actuator must
be performed only after interrupting the power supply to
5.2
DEMOLITION
The demolition of the actuator must occur in compliance
with the laws in force on enviroment protection.
Differentiate the parts making up the actuator according
to their different material type (plastic, aluminum, etc.)
The use of“Non original” spare parts and accessories which
may endanger the safety and the efficency of the actuator is
forbidden. This action shall involve the warranty expiration.
Original spare parts and accessories have to be requested
exclusively to your dealer or to the manufacturer stating
type, model, serial number, and year of construction of the
actuator.

SPARE PARTS AND ACCESSORIES
AVAILABLE ON REQUEST
&
the actuator at the circuit breaker installed on the
power line.
&
Any work on the actuator or any of its parts must be
done exclusively by personnel qualified by the
manufacturer. Topp is not liable for any work done by
unauthorized persons.

Correct closure adjustment of the window ensures the
duration and seal of the gaskets and proper function of the
actuator.
A good way to ensure correct installation of the actuator
consists of making a complete opening and closing test of the

ADJUSTMENT OF WINDOW
CLOSURE
dell’attuatore;
@
La chiave dell’interruttore deve essere custodita
dall’operatore fino al termine dell’ intervento;
%
Per finestre con apertura a sporgere o a cupola
(
Fig.40)
inserire l’utensile di sgancio nelle fessure
dell’attacco rapido e ruotare l’attuatore verso l’alto fino al
totale disimpegno del terminale catena.
%
Per finestre con apertura vasistas
(
Fig. 41)
inserire un
cacciavite a taglio tra la staffa vasistas ed il terminale
catena e far leva fino al totale disimpegno del terminale
stesso.
motor-operated window and then checking the following:
- that the window gaskets are correctly compressed.
- that the distance between the actuator case and the chain
terminal is greater than 5mm (see measurement “D” in Fig.9,
Fig. 18 and Fig.28).
If not, regulate the position of the actuator on the window
appropriately.
Depending on the different types of installation, the actuators
may be operated by the following types of controls:
- Bipolar "dead man" type switch with central OFF position;
this serves to operator one or more actuators at the same
time.
TOPP microprocessor-controlled power unit, model TF
which will drive one or more actuators simultaneously
using the manual switch or TOPP TR8 remote radio
control. Rain sensors type RD/12V, wind sensors type
RW and light sensors can be connected to these control
units.
@
For TF control units models TF24R, TF44R, refer to the
instruction manual code 8P5008, for the TF33 to
manual code 8P5011, for the radio control to manual
8P5910.
IMPORTANT!
The control devices used to operate the actuator must
ensure the safety conditions foreseen by the directive
2006/42/EC.
If the actuator is calibrated with a stroke longer than
200mm on a window installed at a height of less than 2.5
