4.1. Installing the Reagent Bottles
WARNING
Multiple hazards
For safe handling of reagents, you must read and understand
the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). Wear appropriate
protective equipment.
Preparation of
reagent tubes
and bottles

Check that the ends of all reagent tubes are cut at an angle. This
will prevent the tube ends from lying flat on the bottom of the bot
-
tles.

Check that there are two holes in the lid of each reagent bottle:
one hole to feed the reagent tube through and
one small hole that allows air to enter.

If necessary, drill additional holes.
Preparing the
reagents
1
Prepare the reagents according to the separate method sheet
and place the filled reagent bottles on the designated storage
area outside the analyzer.

Insert the reagent tubes all the way to the bottom of the corre

sponding bottles (see
).
