7.2 Mounting
Important:
■
When penetrating the surface e.g. drilling or inserting fasteners, make sure no cables or pipes are
damaged.
■
If you are in any doubt, do not carry out the installation yourself; ask a qualified person to do it for
you.
■
The product should be mounted 1 m off the ground.
1. Use the holes on the hose reel bracket to mark where to drill.
- For other surface material (e.g. wood), use appropriate screws and dowels.
2. Insert the dowels, line the bracket holes over the dowels, and then fasten with the screws.
- Brick or cement walls, use the supplied screws and dowels.
3. Hang the product over the mounting pin as shown.
8 Connection
1. Screw the tap connector onto the tap.
2. Attach the quick connect fitting (inlet) to the tap
connector. The two parts should lock flush to-
gether.
3. Slide the connector in the direction of the arrow
shown on the fitting to release the connection.
1. Attach the spray nozzle to the quick connect
fitting (outlet). The two parts should lock flush
together.
2. Slide the connector in the direction of the arrow
shown on the fitting to release the connection.
9 Operation
1. Pull out the required length then allow the hose to retract until it locks.
Rotate the spray adjuster to change the shape of the water jet.
1. If the hose does not lock, pull out another meter and then release.
2. To unlock the hose, extend it then slowly walk the hose back to the reel. If the hose accidentally slips
from your hand, the safety mechanism will automatically lock it.
Important:
Before unlocking and then retracting the hose:
– Make sure the hose is free of kinks to prevent jamming.
– (If needed) spray the hose to remove dirt or debris.
10 Troubleshooting
Problem
Possible cause
Suggested solution
Hose will not retract
There is a kink.
Remove the kink.
The hose has been unwound all
the way and has no more length
to unlock.
Open the inspection port and
manually turn the reel (1/2 a turn)
in the direction of pulling the
hose out.
11 Cleaning, maintenance, and storage
11.1 Maintenance
■
The hose box is generally maintenance-free.
11.2 Cleaning
Important:
– Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions. They damage
the housing and can cause the product to malfunction.
– Do not immerse the product in water.
■
The inside of the hose box must not be cleaned with water.
■
(If needed) spray the hose to remove dirt or debris before retracting it.
11.3 Storage
■
Store the product indoors during winter.
■
Do not expose to sub-zero temperatures.
■
Before storage, turn the tap OFF and drain all water from the hose.
Tip:
To drain the hose:
1. Turn the tap OFF and disconnect the hose coupling (inlet).
2. Extend the hose to full length.
3. To expel the water, lift the hose as you walk it from reel to nozzle.
