Step 2:
Determine the Thrust Correction Factor (K
T
) based on the ratio of the
Actuator Peak Thrust Rating (T
PEAK
) to the Cycle Equivalent Load (P
e
).
K
T
= 0.200
(

500 lbf
)
- 0.15 = 0.85

IMPORTANT NOTE:
If calculated K
T
is greater than 1, a K
T
value of 1 should be used for the
Lubrication Interval (t
L
) calculation
Step 3:
The Lubrication Interval (t
L
) for a given cycle is then calculated as:
t
L
= 2019
(hours)
x 0.85 = 1716

7 .4 Storage Recommendations
• Make sure the equipment is placed in a suitable storage position to prevent damage to the
seals, thrust rod or cable.
• Ensure that storage will not damage external surface creating pits, scratches, or crevices.
• Protect the feedback device, which is located at the cable end of the actuator.
• Store in clean and dry environment.
• After six (6) months of storage it will be necessary to cycle two complete strokes of the
IMA-S to redistribute the internal lubricants.
It is also recommended to cycle the IMA-S two complete strokes before placing in service.
• If stored for a period longer than 2 years without use it will be necessary to replace the
lubricants. Please return to Tolomatic for this maintenance.
• Storage Temperature is -25C to +60C (-13F to 140F)
