Turn the knob to adjust the depth of drive (Fig. E).
•
Repeat above procedure until you find your desired
depth of drive setting (Fig. F).
Specific for concrete nailer; push the slider side
-
wards to adjust the depth.
Actuating the gas tool
• The gas tool is equipped with a full sequential actu-
ation system only.
• To actuate the gas tool, depress the safety against
the workpiece, and then pull the trigger.
• To actuate the gas tool again, you will need to re-
lease the safety fully and release the trigger before
you repeat above procedure.
•
Make sure you are driving against workpiece before
you pull the trigger.
Operating the gas tool
•
To ensure proper operation and avoiding overheat
-
ing or choking of the gas tool, driving pace should
not exceed 1,000 shots/h and 4,000 shots/day at
optimal working conditions. High temperatures and/
or high altitudes will decrease the feasible mami-
mum number of shots per day.
Jam clearing for framing nailers and staplers
• In the case of fastener jam, disconnect the fuel cell
(Fig. B) and battery (Fig. A) before you perform any
actions.
•
Release pusher to avoid pressure on the fastener
strip.
•
Use a suitable tool eg. a #2 Phillips screw driver to
insert into the drive channel.
•
Tap the screw driver with a hammer to push back
the driver blade and release the jam (Fig. G).
•
Remove the jammed fastener with needle-nose
pliers or similar type of tool. Do not use your hand to
remove the fastener.
•
If you failed to remove the jammed fastener by
above method contact your local TJEP dealer.
Jam clearing for finish nailers
• In the case of fastener jam, disconnect the fuel cell
(Fig. B) and battery (Fig. A) before you perform any
actions.
•
Release pusher to avoid pressure on the fastener
strip.
•
Open the driver guide cover by releasing the latch
(Fig. H).
•
For TJEP ST-15/50 GAS; remove the 2 screws in
the nose piece.
•
Remove the jammed fastener with needle-nose
pliers or similar type of tool. Do not use your hand to
remove the fastener.
•
Secure the driver guide cover after you clear the
jam.
•
For TJEP ST-15/50 GAS; reassemble the nose
piece.
Jam clearing for concrete nailers
• In the case of fastener jam, disconnect the fuel cell
(Fig. B) and battery (Fig. A) before you perform any
actions.
•
Release pusher to avoid pressure on the fastener
strip.
•
Remove magazine by releasing the magazine lock.
•
Remove nozzle, clear jam and reassemble the tool.
Charging the battery and LED explanation
• There are 2 batteries supplied with the gas tool.
It will take 2 hours before the new battery is fully
charged.
• There will be green LED lightening when the battery
charger is connected to electric power and no
battery is on the battery charger.
• The LED indicator on the battery charger will turn
red when it is charging a battery.
• The other LED indicator will turn green when the
battery is fully charged.
• In the case of abnormal battery temperature, the
red LED will flash in sync with the green LED
•
In the case of a defective battery, the red LED will
flash out of sync with the green LED
• When the gas tool is connected to a charged bat-
tery, the LED indicator on the tool will turn green.

• When the battery is put into the tool, the LED will
display the battery capacity for a few seconds.
•
Once the first shot is fired, only one LED will light,
which indicates that the fan is running.
• To display the remaining battery capacity, eject the
battery and reinsert it into the tool.
• If the tool is left without use for more than two
hours, the tool will enter sleep mode to save power.
