4.5 RCD-tripping
Therefore check the voltage between phase and pro-
tective line (earth). Display indicates 230 V.
Press both push-buttons of the Prüfball ZAP 1050L,
RCD is activated and display turns off.
4.6 Load test
With the connection of load, also inductive and ca-
pacitive interference voltages are suppressed. Load
test 1050 W is activated when both push-buttons are
pressed. The connected load resistance is signalised
by symbol
on the LCD.
A monitoring switches off the load when a voltage of
260 V is applied.
In case of overheating the integrated thermal pro-
tection switches on. Then an interruption for cooling
is neccessary.
Observe section 2. Safety Precautions,
Specialnote for load tests!
4.7 Resistance and continuity test
When the device is switched off hold the test elec-
trodes together in order to perform the continuity test.
„000 Ω“ is indicated at the display. Connect securely
both test electrodes to the test point.
With resistance values between 0 ... 1000 kΩ the LCD
indicates measurement values in “kΩ“, in steps of 50 kΩ.
With resistance values of more than 1000 kΩ indication
signalises overflow with „OL“ and “kΩ“.
Note:
The internal energy source is exhausted when the
battery symbol
appears during continuity tests.
About 100 test procedures are still possible.
The Prüfball needs to be recharged for 10 hours at a
230 V socket.
Therefore plug the test electrodes into a socket. The
device indicates approx. 230 V and the energy source
is charged. The on-time of 30 seconds is irrelevant here.
Note:
Maybe that after continuity tests and “oFF” indication
a numerical value is indicated. This value corresponds
to the version of the current software.
Phase sequence test
To determine the phase sequence between two
phases in the 230/400 V 3-phase network apply both
test prods, clasp the handle of the display part and
proceed as follows:
Search for the phase conductors using one pole (see
phase test).
Apply both test prods to the two phase conductors
(display 400 V). When phase L1 is applied to the test
prod marked (+L1) and L2 to the other test prod „
R“
appears at the display for clockwise rotation. If „L
“
is indicated rotation is counter-clockwise.
When 230 V is indicated instead of 400 V it is possible
that the neutral conductor is connected.
