Starting from the software 5.4.5-6 release, the function SIP ALG (
Application Level Gateway
) is
available either for UDP and TCP alternatively to the SIP Proxy.
Compared to the SIP Proxy, the SIP ALG simplifies the service configuration and also improve
considerably the global system performance.
You can activate the SIP ALG functions with:
set nat-sip-alg on
that is alternative to
set siproxy on
You can set which server SIP port the SIP ALG must manage (default is
5060
). For example:
set nat-sip-alg port-list 5060,5076
manages the SIP, UDP and TCP packages on ports
5060
and
5075
.
You can set the SIP ALG so that it marks the packets in transmission, use:
set nat-sip-alg voip-mark 10
that is alternative to
set siproxy voip-mark 10
The command
set nat-sip-alg max-sip-phones N
specifies the maximum numbert of phones that can register. Default value is
10
.
To view the number and the details of the registered user, the command is:
show nat-sip-alg stat
